Palms
Palmetto/Cabbage Palm
PALMETTO/CABBAGE PALM (Sabal Palmetto)
Native from NC to the Bahamas, this large single non-branching trunk grows from 20 to 30 ft. This palm grows at a slow to moderate rate. Sabals are harvested in Florida with its boots still on. As this palm ages, these boots will drop off. Frost Tolerance: Hardy to 1 degrees F, with some leaf damage at 10 degrees F. Environment: Sun with well drained soil. Tolerant of salt spray and hurricanes.
   
Dwarf Palmetto DWARF PALMETTO (Sabal minor)
A small fan palm with a trunk that remains below ground. The leaves can grow anywhere from 1 to 5 ft in length and width. Native to the south (from NC to TX) it is commonly found on river banks and flood plains. Frost Tolerance: Hardy to -5 degrees F. Environment: Prefers a moist sunny location, tolerating occasional flooding. Very salt tolerant.
   
Windmill WINDMILL (Trachycarpus fortunei)
Windmill Palms have a rather slender single stem that is 8-10 inches in diameter and is typically a bit narrower at the base than at the top. Trunks are usually covered with a loose mat of coarse gray or brown fiber. Windmill palms are one of the most cold hardy palms available. Height ranges from 12 to 15 ft.
   
Pindo Palms PINDO PALMS (Butia Capitata)
The Pindo palm has long pinnate leaves that arch and recurve towards the ground from atop a thick, stout trunk. The Pindo palm is hardy to 5 degrees Fahrenhet, though leaf damage my occur at 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
   
European Fan Palm EUROPEAN FAN PALM (Chamaerops humilis)
The European palm has become very popular in recent years, mostly due to its cold hardiness. This palm can grow up to 8 to 10 feet tall in the NC Coastline regions. Frost tolerance: Hardy to -5 degrees F, though leaf damage may occur at 10 degrees F. Environment: Partial to full sun with good soil drainage. Very drought and salt tolerant.

Pine Straw
Rarely found in big box stores is the "Long Leaf" pine straw. We are proud of the fact that our Long Leaf pine straw will be harvested locally with little or no debris. Needles reach a length of 8" to 10" long. The color is vivid and bright!

NC Chocolate Gray: This stone is very popular because the combination of gray and chocolate brown work well in many landscaped areas.

Mohave-Thin: The combination of rust, white, gray, and rose give this stone a very unique look.

Mountain Brown: Rich browns and grays are found throughout the stone.

NC Mountain Mist: This variety of stone is made up of darker colors such as gray, rust and dark blue.

PA Variegated Flagstone Standup: This variety of stone is a mix of colors from blue to purple to gray. Rust is also seen in various places on this stone.

Tennessee Crab Orchard Blue/Gray: This is a uniform variety of Tennessee stone that is a blend of blue and gray with a slight shimmer to it.

Tennessee Crab Orchard Stair Treads-Tan or Gray: Large grayish, tan blocks of stone used for stairs or seating platforms
